If you would like to report on the event, please feel free to quote the press release below:
A three-day green festival will take place in the West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield during the last week of March.
Green Fest 2011 will be in Huddersfield from 29th-31st March and will see a range of green and eco-related activities including a day-long public conference with professional speakers, interactive workshops, art and photo exhibition, green and Fairtrade stands in Huddersfield town centre and a fantastic recycled fashion show.
The event has been created by Huddersfield University masters students Chris Johns and Petra Baresova, along with the help of final year event management students. Event director Chris said: “The event aims to increase the awareness of the importance of sustainability and to get people thinking greener. We want to provide support to people who are doing their bit by giving them a platform from which to promote their activities and educate more people. We also encourage anyone wishing to get involved to get in touch…we would love to hear from them”.
